After his successful release last year with his debut album, TRUTH BE TOLD, Quasamodo returns now remixed from artists from Brazil, Russia, Germany and Ibiza and of course from his neighbor mates in Athens.
Remixed vol 1 is not just about remixes, its about culture and friendship, one language featuring music from different backgrounds and concepts.
Scream for daddy (Valique tabla funk remix). Valique, is already very popular from his two great releases on uk freestyle records. his remix is ace and unique blended with traditional Indian ethnic passioned tabla percussions. acid jazz vibes takes the original track to outer space with a 70's retro feeling and totally dance attitude .. only Valique can do that.
Tramp dance (Quincy Jointz remix). broken beat, dj friendly, dancy and very percussive, this is the bright side of the production of mr. Dirk Schaffer, the other half of Geriba.
Instenso azul (Atfunk remix). The one half of Deep Collective, Atfunk introduces a trip to Ibiza. Mediterranean feeling, minimal tech house spiced with the original Spanish elements and the beautiful poetic words from olgita. a track made for summertime with a mochito and a white beach on the background..
Funktastic (Timewarp inc remix). Elegant breaks with a touch of dub house attitude. Timewarp remixes the very first Quasamodo funky track. catchy, melodic, groovy...
Party time (Trotter remix). A friend from Brazil, Mr. Trotter created a great remix with strong feelings and moody grooves. His style varies from funk to downtempo, cleverly arranged with lots of dub influences.
You scratch mine, ill scratch yours (Medras remix). A downtempo remix from Medras, full of his special floating style. atmospheric but yet groovy enough. chill out and spicy and very organic.
